The airbrake is a basic trick of Trackmania which you need on most of the tracks.

At every jump in Trackmania you can see that the nose of your car is sinking. But when you push the brake while you are in the air your car keeps the current position and the nose doesn't "fall down" any longer.

The meaning of this trick is that you land with all 4 wheels at the same time so that it is a controlled landing. The consequence is that you can better accelerate & don't loose so much speed at the landing.

Advantages

• directly after the landing you can steer without sliding
• the trick is the easiest in Trackmania & only requires a good timing
